05ers to play a charity match for Liam Brummer

Game to take place in Jugenheim

1. FSV Mainz 05 will play a charity match on Wednesday, 9th October during the next international break against a Rhein-Hesse representative team in Jugenheim. The proceeds will go to the family of 7-year-old Liam Brummer, who is currently fighting for his life due to a brain tumour. Liam is the grandson of former Mainz player Axel Brummer.

The charity match will kick off at 18:00 CEST at the Sportplatz im Wiesenweg, FSG Partenheim/Jugenheim’s ground. Axel Brummer grew up in Partenheim and his grandson Liam and his family also live in the town just a few kilometres from Mainz. The opponents will consist of players from local teams FSG Partenheim/Jugenheim, SCHOTT Mainz, TuS Marienborn, SV Gonsenheim and der TSG Bretzenheim.
