Hanche-Olsen and Weiper to miss out on international duty
Defender Andreas Hanche-Olsen and attacker Nelson Weiper have been forced to decline their call-ups to the Norwegian and Germany U21 national teams respectively due to injury. Hanche-Olsen suffered with recurring pain in his right ankle during the 05ers’ away game in Bremen, whilst Weiper picked up a muscle injury in his right thigh. Both will stay in Mainz and will undergo further medical testing.
