"We weren’t 100% there"

Post-match reaction following defeat in Dortmund

Bo Henriksen: “Congratulations to Dortmund on a deserved win. We’re not satisfied with the result. We need to learn that we need to give it everything we have, otherwise we’re in trouble. We struggled in the first half before improving in the second, especially in possession, and might’ve deserved to score more. It’s a good reminder that we always have to be at 100%.”

Niko Bungert: “The first half didn’t leave us with a good feeling. We weren’t 100% there and didn’t contest our challenges the way we wanted to. We weren’t aggressive enough out of possession, not in the way we need to be in order to pose problems for an opponent like this in their stadium. The goals we conceded were unnecessary and came at bad times for us. We did a better job in the second half. We were dominant and managed a lot of touches in the box. We then conceded another goal. In the end, three goals is too many if you want to manage a comeback in Dortmund. Right now, immediately after kick off, we’re left feeling frustrated. We would have preferred to see what would have been possible if we had managed to play to the best of our abilities. Overall, it would have been wrong to act as if three points would be a given in Dortmund. We still have seven games left and can still manage to achieve something special. This was a little wake-up call for us. We need to be at 100% in every game, as that’s what’s gotten us to where we are right now.”
