Dates and times for matchdays 1-8 confirmed
Mainz will have two Sunday fixtures to start the season
The DFL confirmed the exact dates and times for Bundesliga matchdays 1-8 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Zerofivers’ first game of the season away at FC Union will take place on Sunday, 20th August, 15:30 CEST. The first home game against Eintracht Frankfurt the following weekend will take place on Sunday, 27th August, 15:30 CEST.
It’s then four Saturday matches in a row as Mainz take on Werder (2nd September, 15:30 CEST), Stuttgart (16th September, 15:30 CEST), Augsburg (23rd September, 15:30 CEST) and Leverkusen (30th September, 15:30 CEST). They will then face Gladbach on Friday, 6th October, 20:30 CEST, before taking on Bayern at the MEWA ARENA for matchday 8 (Saturday, 21st October, 18:30 CEST).
