Mustapha joins Club Como 1907
The Austrian Striker wants up pick up more playing time in Italy
Marlon Mustapha has joined Serie B side Club Como. The 22-year-old, who joined the Mainz U19s from RB Salzburg in 2018, made six appearances in the Bundesliga last season. The forward also had a loan spell at Austrian side Admira Wacker during the 2021/22 season.
“Marlon made us aware of his wish to move elsewhere as he wants to pick up more playing time at this stage of his career. Due to our array of options in attack, it’s not easy for him to get the minutes at the moment. We found a solution with Como 1907 that suits both sides. We wish Marlon all the best for his future in Italy,” explained sporting director Martin Schmidt.
