Mainz sign Armindo Sieb

The 21-year-old forward joins on a two-year loan deal from Bayern Munich

1. FSV Mainz 05 have signed Germany U21 international Armindo Sieb from FC Bayern Munich. The attacker has joined the club on an initial two-year loan contract, after which the 05ers have an option to make the deal permanent. Sieb has spent the last two seasons at SpVgg Greuther Fürth, where he scored 17 goals in 63 second-tier games.

“Armindo Sieb is an attacker who gives us even more options for the squad thanks to his great pace, dynamism and runs in behind. He has already proven that he can provide a goal threat from both inside and outside the box. We are delighted that he has chosen to sign for Mainz 05,” said sporting director Christian Heidel.

Armindo Sieb says: “I gained valuable experience at Fürth and I now feel ready to make the step up to the Bundesliga. Mainz 05 is the ideal club for me to do that with because it gives young players great opportunities to develop. I also think that my style of play suits Mainz’s dynamic football very well.”
