Seven 05ers on international duty

Nations League, World Cup qualifiers and friendlies on the agenda

Alongside Jonny Burkardt and Nadiem Amiri, who were both called up to the latest Germany squad during the past week, five further Mainz players are also jetting off for action with their respective national sides. The coming eight days consist of a plethora of competitive fixtures involving 05ers, while Paul Nebel and Nelson Weiper also feature in friendly matches for the Germany U21s.

Phillipp Mwene with Austria (Nations League)

Jae-sung Lee with South Korea (WCQ)

While Jonny, Nadiem and Phillipp are all expected back in Mainz on Monday next week, the remaining Mainz players on international duty will make their returns in midweek as preparations ahead of the Bundesliga clash away to Borussia Dortmund (30th March, kick-off 17:30 CET) begin.
