Kohr signs contract extension with FSV

Dominik Kohr has penned a contract extension with 1. FSV Mainz 05, keeping him at the club until 2028. The defender has extended his contract, which was set to expire in 2026, by an additional two years. 

Kohr has been a key figure within the FSV squad since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2021. The 31-year-old has feature in 133 competitive games for the club, scoring eight goals and setting up a further five during this time. He was able to celebrate his 300th appearance in the Bundesliga in February while in FSV colours. This season, Kohr has been a key figure within the team’s backline, with Mainz having conceded just 32 goals so far — the second fewest in the league behind FC Bayern München.

This club fits me like a glove and I identify 100% with Mainz 05. We have undergone an incredibly strong development over the last four years and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey together.”
